Question by lapeer_gal: Angina symptoms or Something else ??
I was told by my heart doctor that I have angina, but I feel that is not the whole answer to all my symptoms. Currently I constantly have chest pain/pressure, also occurs down my left arm, shoulders, neck, jaw, throat, back, stomach. I also get diarrhea, constipation, lots of gas and burpping especially after I eat or drink. Poor appetite, intesinal sounds, feels like a lump in my throat, short of breath. Eating or drinking makes symptoms worse, No pain medicatin helps. I need some kind of relief…..any info is appreciated.
The more I read up on the symtoms the more it sounds like a digestion problem, Any info on how to treat digestion problems at home is very much appreciated.

Sounds like GERD, but you need to see your internist or a gastroenterologist!

See,in Angina (1)pain starts with severe agonizing pain under the chest bone and also on left side of chest migrating toward the left arm and left side neck and also on back of chest !(2)There should be lot of perspiration all over the body so much so that it wets your under wear.It is a must (3)There may be breathlessness(4)Giddiness and (5)Nauseating feeling or vomiting also! (6)Hazy vision or color vision.Angina generally last for few minutes but breath taking !in diabetic people it may not give many symptoms !that like death is dancing before you !If there is only pain and nothing else than don’t worry it is not angina !still better you should under go EKG examination where doctor gets electrical activity of heart on recording machine to diagnose this angina and further Infarction heart ! Still further for sure to exclude heart disease like angina you should get your TMT test done in which they ask to run on machine and they take your continuous Electrocardiogram to prove any low blood supply to your heart.IF SATISFIED PLZ GIVE ME BEST MARKS FOR TO OBTAIN MORE MARKS !ALWAYS YouRsmE
Looks like you suffer from aG.I.T problem, most probably.
G.E.R.D (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease),
or gastric ulcer “(which is aggrevated by food)”
but the symptoms you mentioned , may also suggest Angina..
well depending on the pain,
* is it severe ? * how long does it last?hours? >>> if yes, then it’s myocardial infarction.
*MOST IMP: if the pain is relieved by glyceryl trinitrates , then it’s surely angina.
bro, I think you need more investigations , as Angina might develop to Myocardial infarction , and end up with heart failure.
i suggest: check:
Cardiac markers (enzymes : CK, AST, and LDH)
and ECG : ST segment elevation which suggests myocardial infarction.
You have the symptoms of Coronary Artery Disease condition and ofcourse angina is further development of CAD. here is the link for for signs, symptoms, diagnosis and latest treatment of Angina…
You need a second opinion. Some of your symptoms could be digestive, but the pain going down your arm and jaw are certainly classic angina symptoms. What did your heart doctor suggest? In any case, this is too potentially serious to accept answers you get online from people you don’t even know. Start with your family doctor and get referrals to whatever specialists you need to get answers. Good luck.
Have you had a heart cath to prove you have no blockage, what about stress test, an ekg while the pain is there. There is also the possibilty of anxiety over the diagnosis of angina. I have heart problems and when i was first diagnosed I wnet to the ER at the drop of the hat. Talk with your cardiologist about this.
